New VW Cross Polo images are revealed
Volkswagen has showcased the new Cross Polo for this model year in Europe. Though it hasn’t been a big success in the Indian market, we believe this product has some good potential if some changes are made to it. The current Cross Polo has the same ground clearance and tyre size like the current Polo.
The new Cross Polo gets new daytime running lamps, and a redesigned front and rear bumpers. Volkswagen also offers the new optional Sport Select suspension - which uses electronically controlled dampers - so that drivers can choose between two tuning characteristics at the press of a button. Many other assistance systems of the Golf class are also making their way into the new Volkswagen Polo.
If these upgrades come to India, the Cross Polo can be a good option to procure considering the fact it gets the new 1.5-litre engine and maybe higher ground clearance too.
The Cross Polo should make it to India in the second half of 2014 and shoul compete with like of Fiat Avventura, which will be launched around that same time.
The Cross Polo will get an upgrade in interiors and also in the features it is currently offering. This will help Volkswagen to reach out to those customers who are looking for a rugged hatchback with good ground clearance.
