According to sources, the old 1794cc VVTi petrol engine has been dropped and replaced by a 1798cc dual VVTi engine that produces 138bhp at 6000rpm. The new Toyota Corolla Altis is said to be coming with new seven speed transmission. The new Altis with the new engine and transmission will be fuel efficient and deliver 15.22 kmpl. However, the diesel engine of the Toyota Corolla Altis has not been touched and it would be the same 1.4L, 1364cc, InLine Diesel Engine.
