New Toyota Corolla Altis expected this June

If all goes well then the new Toyota Corolla Altis will be launched this June. Lately, following the earthquake and succeeding Tsunami that rocked Japan, Toyota Motors had to curtail production due to short of parts and thus the launch of the new 2011 Toyota Corolla Altis was delayed. Besides, the catastrophe also delayed the launch of the Toyota Etios Liva that was also slated to be launched in June. Now, after Toyota Motors has almost resumed production, it is all set to launch the New Toyota Corolla Altis that has an incredible facelift.

The new Toyota Corolla Altis has new headlights, a revamped LED tail lamp, chrome lining at the top of the front and rear number plate besides, new air dam and stylish bumpers. In order to make the petrol and diesel versions different from each other, Toyota has put in place a new mesh grille in the diesel Altis.

Apart from making it look distinct from the outside, Toyota has also put in much effort in the makeover of the interiors. The manual audio system has been replaced with LED touchscreen with Bluetooth, Aux and USB connectivity. The new 2011 Altis will be a keyless entry car with a start stop function. Besides, the instrument cluster has a new color in place.

Meanwhile, the car company is also hoped to carry out a major change in the engine and transmission. According to sources, the old 1794cc VVTi petrol engine has been dropped and replaced by a 1798cc dual VVTi engine that produces 138bhp at 6000rpm. The new Toyota Corolla Altis is said to be coming with new seven speed transmission. The new Altis with the new engine and transmission will be fuel efficient and deliver 15.22 kmpl. However, the diesel engine of the Toyota Corolla Altis has not been touched and it would be the same 1.4L, 1364cc, InLine Diesel Engine.
