New Honda Civic to be launched by 2012
Honda Motor Company Limited is planning to introduce new variant of its model Honda Civic by 2012. The car has gone through several rigorous tests on the various tracks of America. However, Honda has not yet made any announcement regarding the final production ready model. The company has also not revealed the date of the ultimate launch of this upcoming model. However, it is expected that the new model will be introduced somewhere at the end of year 2012.

This will be the ninth generation of this model. The new variant of Honda Civic will be available in petrol and hybrid options. Also, in the international market, there will be the sedan variant and the Coupe variant of the car.

The new variant of Honda Civic will be a front-wheel drive for packaging and cost reasons. This model will be equipped with a four-cylinder option. Through this model, the customers will get the option of selecting from a CVT, i.e., continuously variable transmission or a manual transmission.

Several changes are expected in the new variant of Honda Civic in comparison to the current model which is available in the markets presently. Instead of nickel-metal hybrid that presently powers the model, the hybrid variant of Honda Civic will possess lithium -ion batteries.
