New BMW Z4 to be launched in India this October

The all new BMW Z4 two-seater roadster will be launched in India this October. The company is likely to launch three more new cars in India. The new BMW Z4 is equipped with retractable hard top and sDrive technology for better driving experience. This new car also comes with a 3-litre diesel engine, a top speed of 250 kph and a 0-100 kph rev-up in 5.8 seconds. BMW Z4 will be priced in the range of Rs 50-60 lakh. BMW India president Peter Kronschanabl hope that the company should sell at least 30-40 units of the car in the first year. He expects the car to be a brand shaper for the company.

During the January-August '09 2,200 units of the car have been sold. Company's next plan is to cross the mark of over 3,000 in sales by end of the year. There are no confirmed reports about the variants of the car coming to India. Ford Fiesta and Hyundai i10 are among the most in the Indian car market.
