Mihir Dharkar Leads After Round Two of JK Tyre Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2012

Polo R Cup, known for promoting young talent internationally, is considered to be a great stepping stone for those who desire to enter into professional racing. In its 3^rd racing season, Volkswagen Motorsport is hoping for an even more exciting and challenging year. Currently Mihir Dharkar from Mumbai is leading the Championship standing after 2 rounds and 4 races of the Polo R Cup 2012. Following him closely is Ameya Walavalkar who is just 1 point behind him at 76 points.

The excitement and challenge of the JK Tyre Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2012 is evident from the fact that there is only 10 point difference between Mihir, who is leading and Donovan Vaz who is at the 6^th position at the end of Round Two. From Chennai, A. Sandeep Kumar is at the third position, followed by Avdumber Hede from Goa and standing at the fifth position is Rahil Noorani. Donovan Vaz saw his first ever podium by winning in the reverse grid of the Race Two.

The next round will commence at the Madras Motor Sports Club in Chennai on 25^th August and 26^th August. The Round 4 will be held in Chennai at the Madras Motor Sport Club on 15^th and 16^th September, followed by Round 5 at Noida at the JPSI and for the Round 6 once again the JK Tyre Volkswagen Polo R Cup 2012 will return to Chennai at the same venue, MMRT.
