    May 2011– Auto Sales Review

In May-11, passenger car sales growth in general slowed down because of increasing petrol prices and interest rates, except for Hyundai India whose sales increased mainly due to launch of new Hyundai Verna Fluidic which launched recently.Given the rising petrol prices, the demand for diesel variants of small cars is expected to rise, while the companies are expected to continue the discounts or promotional offers to increase the sales.
