Maserati to showcase its upcoming SUV at Frankfurt Motor Show

With the Frankfurt Motor show just four days away, the media hype has already begun, where the auto manufacturers across the world participate to showcase their upcoming models to create the anticipation. The Italian luxury brand, Maserati will also join the show to put forward their upcoming SUV, whose images of the concept model had been leaked on the net. The Masertai SUV is expected to be launched by 2014.

The Automotive News Pocket Guide to the 2011 Frankfurt show features the Maserati SUV, which could be built on the same platform as that of Jeep Grand Cherokee. Fiat owns Maserati as well as Chryseler. The Maserati SUV will have the underpinning from an American SUV, but the authentic designs of the Italian manufacturer Maserati remains with the SUV. The Maserati SUV is powered by a Maserati V8 engine under the hood, streamlined headlights on the either side of the grille, which is affixed with the Maserati symbol on the front. The interiors of the SUV are also designed with the classic Italian touch along the lines of Porsche Cayenne. The Maserati 4x4 SUV has a higher ground clearance, carrying the Maserati lineage into the core.

The Maserati models offered in India are Maserati Quattraporte, Maserati Grand Cabrio and Maserati Grand Turismo. The highest priced model of Maserati in India is Maserati Quattraporte at Rs 1,42,99,000 and the minimum priced model is Maserati Grand Turismo at Rs 1,20,29,000. The Maserati models are showcased in 7 cities across the country to include, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.
