Maruti Ritz ready to launch in India
India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzki India Limited, is ready to splash the Indian car market with its latest model, Maruti Ritz in B segment. Maruti plans to launch this new model by early 2009 and is currently trying to find out if any rival company has already registered the name or not. It is expected that the model is likely to be launched by April 2009 with two engine options.

Maruti plans to launch this new model by early 2009 and is currently trying to find out if any rival company has already registered the name or not. It is expected that the model is likely to be launched by April 2009 with two engine options.
Maruti plans to introduce this model in India with a 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.3 litre diesel version with a 5-speed manual gearbox and the model will be Euro IV compliant. Ritz has been already launched in Europe and has replaced Wagon-R there. However, the new Ritz will co-exist with its earlier model. The price of this new model will be in the range of Rs. 4.5-5.5 lakh.
The new Ritz will be a tall model, has more head roof and more spacious inside the car. The car carries bold stylish and sporty rear looks with an overall masculine look but will appeal to small families with limited budget.
Maruti Suzuki is the largest car manufacturer of India and the second largest car exporter of India. It has recently launched another small hatchback car Maruti A-Star in India. Maruti Suzuki has also retained its top position in the Indian automobile market by topping the annual India Performance Execution and Layout Study conducted by customer research body JD Power Asia-Pacific.
