There isn't much to complain about the Ritz, except the fact that it now looks aged when compared to competition

Acceleration & Pick-Up
Ed's Take: The acceleration of the Ritz is good for a hatchback. It does well in terms of outright performance as both the engines are peppy.
This hatchback has the potential to race to a top speed of 175 Kmph and can accelerate to a 100 Kmph mark in about 13.3 seconds from a scratch. Whereas the diesel variant has an engine that can reach 155 Kmph speed on the tops and does accelerate from zero to 100 Kmph in just around 14.2 seconds.

Stereo & Accessories
Ed's Take: The Ritz petrol gets in-dash music system, steering mounted audio, while the diesel comes like a plain vanilla ice cream till the VDi. The ZDi now gets all the features that one wants to see in a Ritz, just like the Ritz ZXi.
An advanced music system has been integrated to this vehicle, which includes an audio system with a USB support to it. The audio controls have been mounted on the steering wheel which gives easy regulation of the players. The audio system supports the CD and has got a radio facility to it as well. Braking & Handling
Ed's Take: The Ritz being softly sprung, its ride is well compliant. The handling might just not impress you too much, as there is some amount of body roll. The Ritz isn't made for driving enthusiasts.
The safety quotient is addressed well with a perfect combination of an anti lock braking system teaming with the electronic brake force distribution. This braking mechanism ensures in a safe and controlled drive. Ventilated disc brakes are affixed to the front and rear wheels as well, whereas the rear ones are fitted with drum brakes. The suspension consists of a McPherson strut to its front axle and a torsion beam with coil springs is to its rear axle. The power assisted steering system that is tilt adjustable is decked into this car. It has a good minimum turning radius of 4.7 meters.
