Maruti has unveiled the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition in India, which gets an exclusive matte black exterior wrap. Notably, this is the first Maruti car to come with a matte exterior wrap, making it a stylish alternative to similar matte editions of popular SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Tata Harrier. It is based on the top-spec Alpha Plus trim with the strong-hybrid engine. Let us take a look at everything this new with this special edition Grand Vitara:
Price
While prices of the new Phantom Blaq Edition is yet to be revealed, the top-of-the-line Alpha Plus trim, on which it is based, is priced at Rs 19.92 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
What’s New?

Save for subtle colour differences, nothing much has changed in the Maruti Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition compared to the regular model.
On the outside, it gets a new Matte Black exterior wrap which is not available in the regular variants. It also gets a black grille surround and a dark chrome bar on the sides of the chrome logo to maintain that stealthy look. It also gets new 17-inch black alloy wheels. Being a strong Hybrid model, the exterior comes with gloss black wheel arches that span through the length of the compact SUV.
Other than this, everything else including the interior design and convenience features are identical to the regular trim.

Interior And Features

Inside, everything is the same as the standard car including an identical dashboard layout featuring a 7-inch digital driver’s display, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 3-spoke steering wheel. It also gets leatherette seat upholstery and uses soft touch materials on the dashboard and doors with contrasting white stitching.

The feature suite is also identical including a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, auto AC with rear vents, a head-up display (HUD), an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, ventilated front seats and an air purifier with digital display.

Safety-wise, it continues to feature 6 airbags (as standard), a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake (with automatic variants only), an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), hill hold assist and disc brakes on all four wheels.
