Maruti and Hyundai not scared of Etios's launching
Booking for Toyota's upcoming sensational Toyota Etios is open and car delivery is expected to start from January first week .Whereas, the key market players of small car segments in India, Maruti and Hyundai are sure that there would we no impact on their market share with the launch of Toyota Etios. With this Maruti Suzuki has made it clear that there would be no price reductions. Sources at Maruti Suzuki stated that more than 70 percent of their customers purchase their product due to its word of mouth policy. Not only are the prices of Maruti cars lower than other brands but their cost of ownership is quite low in comparison to the other competing brands.

In small cars Hyundai sells around 90% of their car models out of their total sales statistics with their prominent models like Hyundai Santro Xing, Hyundai i10 and Hyundai i20. The sources from HMIL stated that they are one of the leading market players in terms of small car segments and would be increasing their dealership networks to 460 selling locations by the end of this year. Hyundai is also looking ahead to adopt new corporate identity in India by the end of this year.
Hyundai is currently planning to execute the corporate identity at its 320 outlets out of which 204 outlets would be covered by December 2010 which includes dealerships, sales, service and used car business outlets and the remaining outlets will get new corporate identity next year.
Both the auto majors would be coming with the new plans and strategies in order to maintain their sales ratio. On the other hand Toyota is also sure enough that launching of Toyota Etios will attract customers of competing brands. At first Toyota will launch Toyota Etios sedan and its hatchback model is expected to be launched three months later probably by March, 2011.
Maruti will also come with many new models in 2011. Upcoming models of Maruti include the diesel variant of Maruti SX4, Maruti Kizashi, Maruti Cervo, Maruti Grand Vitara diesel, SUV Maruti Jimny and Maruti XL7. On the other hand, Hyundai will also bring in many new cars which include Hyundai Avante, Hyundai i10 diesel, Hyundai Santro Xing diesel Hyundai Genesis, Hyundai i30, Hyundai i40 and Hyundai H800.
