Mahindra NU IQ Platform Revealed On Independence Day, Will Underpin Vision S, Vision X, Vision T, Vision SXT
The new platform is a monocoque and is flexible for accommodating various body styles and powertrains
Mahindra has taken the wraps off the NU IQ platform on the occasion of India’s 79th Independence Day. This new monocoque platform is capable of supporting multiple body styles, powertrains and is flexible when it comes to size as well. In fact, it will underpin the upcoming Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT, all of which have been revealed in their concept form. Mahindra NU IQ: Overview
Mahindra’s NU IQ platform is a flexible architecture that is capable of supporting multiple powertrains. It can accommodate ICE and all-electric powertrains. Mahindra claims that it will offer the best-in-class commanding seating position and 227 mm ground clearance to give it the proper SUV vibes.
Size And Off-road Capabilities
Not only that, the platform is also capable of accommodating different sizes and body styles. There will be products ranging from 4.3 metres to 4.5 metres in length with a wheelbase of 2.6 metres. But the more exciting bit is its off-road ability, where it boasts some impressive numbers for a monocoque architecture. Here’s a look at the stats:

Safety And Handling
Safety and Mahindra go hand in hand, and the SUV maker claims this architecture is capable of achieving a 5-star rating in Global NCAP and Euro NCAP. The new architecture has a 5-link rear suspension (found in luxury cars), which should help in providing good road manners.
Interior And Boot Space
