Mahindra Vision S

The Mahindra Vision S is a sub-4m SUV concept based on Mahindra’s new Nu IQ platform. Of the four concepts unveiled at the Freedom NU event on August 15, 2025 – Vision T, Vision SXT, Vision X, and Vision S – the Vision S is expected to be the first to enter series production by 2027.

At first glance, the Vision S appears to be a baby version of the Mahindra Scorpio N. It has an upright stance and features a rectangular blacked-out front grille with horizontal slats and a ‘twin peak’ Mahindra logo at the centre. Further, it has inverted L-shaped housing for the LED headlights and vertical DRL strips. The bumper comes in an all-black finish and integrates pixel-shaped LED fog lamps, along with a prominent silver skid plate for a rugged look.

The side profile combines a traditional boxy SUV silhouette with modern design elements such as flush-type door handles and futuristic-looking dual-tone alloy wheels. Its rugged appeal is further enhanced by squared wheel arches integrated into gloss-black cladding, side steps mounted over the left rear quarter glass panel, and a jerry can placed on the right rear quarter glass panel. The roof, along with the A, B, and C-pillars, has been finished in black.

At the rear, the taillights follow a design similar to the headlights and are integrated into a gloss-black housing. The Vision S also features vertical brake lights on the spare wheel housing and the roof spoiler. A tailgate-mounted spare wheel further enhances its rugged and appealing look. It gets a blacked-out bumper at the rear, which integrates pixel LED lights and a silver skid plate.

Mahindra Vision S concept boasts a dual-tone navy blue and grey interior theme which looks very much production-ready. There’s a 3-spoke steering wheel with ‘Vision S’ branding, which looks inspired by the one inside the Land Rover Defender. It also has an integrated dual-screen setup, separated by triangular-shaped AC vents, surrounded by chrome.

Below the dual-screen setup, controls for the infotainment have been provided, and beneath that, you also get a touch-enabled climate control panel. The centre console has several amenities like a wireless phone charger, buttons for ventilated front seats, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function. The seats are upholstered in dual-tone navy blue and black leatherette with white contrast stitching.

The Mahindra Vision S concept is underpinned by Mahindra’s new NU IQ platform, which means it can accommodate different types of powertrain options. This implies that Vision S could come with petrol, diesel or EV powertrain options.
