Magenta Power has inaugurated India’s largest public EV charging facility in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

It gets four DC fast chargers and 17 regular AC chargers, with overnight parking bays for those using slow chargers.

Magenta Power-owned ChargeGrid has opened up India’s largest public EV charging station in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is a part of the company’s plans to provide 4000 charging facilities by 2022.
The new charging station will be running 24X7, comprising 21 chargers for all types of electric vehicles. It will include four DC fast chargers and 17 regular AC chargers. You can fully charge an EV in around 45 minutes, using a fast charger. The facility has overnight parking bays for cars using slow chargers.
The new ChargeGrid station has rooftop solar panels that provide 40kW of power and a backup diesel generator. The chargers can be operated through the ChargeGrid application, with features such as online remote monitoring system and automated payment gateway.

The charging station also houses an AC charger manufacturing unit, which will produce around 4,000 AC chargers every month. This comes just a day after the Maharashtra Government introduced its EV Policy 2021, which plans to encourage electric car buyers and EV charging infrastructure developers.
