Land Rover Evoque to be launched in 2011

Tata Motors' owned Land Rover has stated that Range Rover Evoque, company’s new sports utility vehicle will make it to the market in the year 2011. The new model will be available with the price tag of Rs 21 lakh. This model will be produced by the company at the Halewood plant in Merseyside, UK. The new Range Rover Evoque will be sold in more than 160 countries all over the world from 2011, stated the company.

The company also stated that price of the new model will range from 30,000 pound in the UK. Earlier, the company had made an announcement for adding 1,000 new jobs at its facility for the production of Range Rover Evoque. Currently, there are 9,500 employees in Land Rover. The company is also planning for other 40,000 jobs in its supply chain. The new Range Rover Evoque will be launched during the year 2011 as a part of celebration of 40th anniversary of Range Rover. The global public debut of Range Rover Evoque will take place at the 2010 Paris Motor Show which is going to be held on 30th September 2010.

The new SUV Range Rover Evoque will be available in both two-wheel drive and four -wheel drive. In 2 Wheel Drive technology, the distribution of the transmission takes place either in rear or front of the vehicle’s wheels. Whereas in the 4WD technology, the distribution takes place equally in all the four wheels. The 4WD technology is preferred for driving on difficult paths.
