Kia Seltos To Undergo Substantial Price Hike From January 1

Customers who have made a booking but will not get the SUV delivered before December 31 will be liable to pay the hike in price.

A leaked document from Kia Motors on Team-bhp.com has revealed that the Seltos’ price will be hiked from January 1 onwards. The document even mentions that the price hike will be substantial.
What is interesting about this is that price hikes by most manufacturers are applicable on fresh bookings. However, Kia will be hiking the prices for even those customers who have already made a booking or will make on or before 31 December, 2019, but will receive their Seltos in 2020.
To give you a better perspective, there is currently a waiting period that ranges from one to five months for the Seltos in the top 20 cities in India. So, there will be a lot of customers who might have made a booking recently and are waiting to take delivery of the SUV next year.

The hike in prices will be applicable across all variants of the Seltos. When the compact SUV was launched back in August, Kia had revealed that the pricing was introductory and that it would be revised in the future. Currently, the Kia Seltos is priced between Rs 9.69 lakh and Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom India).
We reached out to Kia to verify the authenticity of the document. However, the Korean carmaker is yet to comment at the time of publishing this story.

Better going for creta, it seems price hike would probably huge! Its unjustified for people who booked at earlier prices
KIA need to understand that old booking customers who dont get there SUV in 2019 is company mistake not customers so customers not committed to pay more.
Kia should fulfil the pending bookings and price committed at booking time, else people might cancel their bookings and look for other options.
