Kia Seltos Becomes The Best-Selling Compact SUV In September 2019
With as many as seven offerings in the segment, here’s how each of them fared in terms of sales in the previous month

Kia Seltos was launched in India on August 22 and since then it has taken the market by storm. With the highest market share in the compact SUV segment, it takes the top spot in September 2019 sales.

Takeaways
Hyundai Creta: With a market share of over 33 per cent, the Creta ranks second in terms of the number of units shipped in September. However, when comparing the year-on-year market share, it witnessed a decline by almost 25 per cent.

Renault Captur: Another offering from Renault in the compact SUV segment, the Captur, continues to fail in its performance. It is the worst-hit SUV with its market share as low as 0.09 per cent.
Nissan Kicks: Nissan managed to ship 200-odd units of the Kicks in September. However, it is the only car other than the Seltos to witness a positive growth when comparing the YoY market share of all the SUVs.
Mahindra Scorpio: The Scorpio witnessed a growth of almost 26 per cent when comparing its MoM numbers. Mahindra sold 3,600 units of the Scorpio, which almost equals its average six-month figure.
