The MG M9 is likely to be launched by the end of July, and the carmaker has now revealed the detailed specifications and features of the India-bound model. It comes in a single Presidential Limo variant and three colour options: Metal Black, Concrete Grey, and Pearl Lustre White, wherein the last two colours are paired with a black roof for a dual-tone look.

The M9 will be the longest and widest MPV on Indian soil brought via the CKD route. It will be sold through MG’s premium ‘MG Select’ outlets. Let’s take a look at all the features and powertrain options the M9 has to offer:

Some of its features, like the 16-way adjustable Ottoman rear seats with massage function, a frunk and digital internal rearview mirror (IRVM), are also first in segment additions. Besides, it gets many premium features like a 12.3-inch infotainment, a 13-speaker JBL sound system, V2L and V2V charging and more.

Even in terms of safety, it comes with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, ESC, TPMS, as well as a level-2 ADAS suite. The M9 also boasts a five-star safety rating in the Euro NCAP crash test.

The MG M9 gets a single battery pack option, which is claimed to have over 500 km range as per the brand’s internal testing. The specifications are as follows:

MG M9

The MG M9 will be positioned as a premium MPV, yet it can carry a competitive price, which is likely to start around Rs 60 lakh to Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). While it won’t have any direct EV competitor in India, it will serve as an electric alternative to the Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival.
