    Hyundai Cars to Go Expensive

    Hyundai India has on Wednesday said that it will increase the prices of its entire range to offset the impact of high input costs, and the new prices will come into effect within a week or two, however they haven't specified the quantum of hike.

    The constant dip in Rupee value is compelling India based automakers to increase their car prices, so that the impact of adverse currency movement and high input costs can be minimized. We have recently seen Maruti Suzuki India, Renault, Honda Cars India, General Motors and Audi announced to hike prices of their products, Hyundai India is the latest one to do it. The company has on Wednesday said that it will increase the prices of its entire range to offset the impact of high input costs, and the new prices will come into effect within a week or two, however they haven't specified the quantum of hike.

    Speaking about the same, HMIL Vice-President- Sales and Marketing, Rakesh Srivastava Said: "The price increase has been necessitated by a variety of cost push factors like increase in raw material prices and freight increase. We have tried to minimise the hike so as to cause less inconvenience to our valued customers."

    Other cars makers have already increased their car prices, out of which GM and Maruti Suzuki hiked the prices of their entire range while some others including Honda Cars, Renault India, Audi have hiked the prices of their popular models. So, Hyundai will be the third one to hike the prices of its entire range.
