Four New SUV Concepts From Mahindra Could Be Unveiled On August 15!
Besides the concepts, Mahindra will also introduce its new platform, which will support annual production of up to 1.2 lakh units at its new Chakan facility near Pune
Mahindra has dropped teasers of their four new SUV concepts, namely Vision.T, Vision.S, Vision.SXT and Vision.X. They will likely unveil these four concepts at their upcoming Freedom NU event, scheduled to take place on August 15, 2025, in Mumbai. Here’s a brief overview of what these four concepts could be:
Vision.T
The Vision.T appears to be a more evolved and near to production-ready version of the Thar.e concept previously shown in August 2023. It will likely retain the boxy silhouette, squared-off wheel arches, angular edges, chunky off-road tyres, and visible bonnet latches from the teaser. This concept is likely to preview the electric version of the Mahindra Thar, potentially offering dual-motor all-wheel drive capabilities. The new Vision.T is likely to be showcased in its production-ready form in 2026, priced at around Rs 20 lakh.
Vision.S
The Vision.S’ design hints at a Scorpio-based SUV, probably the next-gen Scorpio, possibly to be offered in an electric or hybrid form. It features a tall stance with a wide front grille, and bonnet scoops in the teaser. It’s expected to offer off-road features similar to the existing ICE-powered Scorpio, but built on the new Freedom NU architecture. It can also make a production-ready appearance in 2026 and can be priced at around Rs 30 lakh to Rs 35 lakh.

The Vision SXT looks like a rugged and utility-focused SUV with design elements including a clamshell bonnet, bold arches, and a heavy-duty bumper. It could be a pickup version of the Thar or Scorpio. The exposed hinges and skid plates indicate a focus on functionality. Its launch or debut timeline is yet to be known.
Vision.X
The Vision X has a more compact and urban-friendly appearance and it can slot between Vision.S and Vision.T primarily aimed towards family buyers. It features smoother lines and a sleeker profile as per the teaser. It’s likely to preview a new compact SUV, possibly an all-electric offering under Mahindra’s XUV brand. Unlike the other three rugged concepts, Vision X seems to be designed for city use with premium features.
NFA Platform
Mahindra will also introduce its new platform alongside these four concepts, featuring a next-gen flexible architecture that will support a wide range of products, including hybrid, ICE EV. This platform will support annual production of up to 1.2 lakh units at its new Chakan facility near Pune.
