It is needless to state that Fiat Multijet has been a watershed in the Diesel engine technology and to reach this remarkable milestone is no surprise at all. However, instead of being a large engine supplier Fiat should have a pan-India marketing plan to penetrate the market. As such I find that this engine offers the best integration with Fiat Power train and offers a phenomenal driving pleasure due its non-linear gear ratios in Punto. The drivability in both urban traffic conditions and on the highway is unmatched. However, this is not found in the agression of marketing this product. As such, 90HP Punto Multijet is unmatched and has no comparision in its catogory. The numbers are any indication to go by, I can only state that the product is not marketed and positioned well despite the pitch in the advertising. Fiat has to re-look at its marketing strategy as the value prposition offered for the price is unmatched and this should be the sole USP for increasing numbers of this car which is yet to come. Volumes are necessary to maintain the serviceability and maintainability. Fiat will do well to look at their strategy and revamp the same to give aggression to their sales pitch.
