Eaton Hybrid Systems Achieve 160 Million Kilometers of Service, Save 15 Million Liters of Fuel
Eaton Corporation is a pune based company indulged in manufacturing hybrid power systems for the commercial buses and trucks. Today the company astound the world with its big claim of saving 15 million liters of diesel fuel and saved the environment from 40,000 metric tons of harmful emission. The striking figures from Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation is based on 160 million kilometers of cumulative service provided by the company.
Beyond 4500 Eaton Hybrid systems are installed in utility vehicles, refuse and recycling trucks, refrigerated delivery trucks, beverage delivery trucks, package delivery trucks, school buses and city buses. The portfolio of this company also holds a dedicated line of electric vehicle charging systems which has helped the company reduce the harmful emissions in environment. The electric vehicle charging system has been introduced recently and it played a major role in coming up with this astounding claim.
The company is involved in exporting this efficient fuel technology to US, UK, Taiwan, Singapore, Russia, Qatar, Canada, Belgium, Australia, Poland, Netherlands, Mexico, Korea, Japan, Germany, China, Egypt, France, Japan and Poland. Moreover, Eaton Corporation also involves in manufacturing of hybrid hydraulic system which is named as Eaton HLA or Eaton Hydraulic Launch Assist. The Hydraulic system was initiated this year only.
Addressing the prestigious occasion, Mr. Dimitri Kazarinoff who is the vice president and general manager of Eaton’s Hybrid Power Systems Division commented that the company's hybrid power business is expanding at an exponential rate and looking at the performance of the existing hybrid power technology, users are coming up with bigger orders.
UPS (NYSE:UPS) has plans to employ 130 Eaton hybrid systems New Jersey, New York and California next year which was ordered earlier this year. through these recent deliveries,the company intends to save every year around 250,158 liters of fuel and 671 metric tons of harmful emissions in environment. these figures will amount to 35% of fuel efficiency which is equivalent to 128 passenger cars being excluded from roads.
Mike Britt who is the UPS’s director of vehicle engineering commented that the Hybrid Electric Technology is one of the proven incvetion wich will help is building fuel effcient cars.
