Chevrolet Sail Clocks 7,000 Bookings in 2 Months
Chevrolet launched its much-anticipated sedan Sail on 1st February at a price of Rs. 4.99 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The company has had various products in the Indian market already, but it is the best and most sensibly priced vehicle. Since Chevrolet made its debut in India, this has been for the first time that company has bagged a positive response from buyers. Chevrolet Sail has grabbed as many as 7000 bookings in a time frame of approximately 2 months since its launch. Although, the Sail sedan may not be the best-in-class product, but certainly is a well priced and practically a smart vehicle to go for.
The Sail sedan comes loaded with various exciting features and has well proportioned and good interiors. The sedan comes powered by a multijet diesel engine that is known for its low NVH levels and to offer excellent driveability. Despite not being a sub-four meter sedan, Sail is priced around the same range at Dzire's price. This clearly shows that pricing plays an important role to get success in the Indian auto industry.
Recently, the company has cut down the prices of Sail hatch by Rs. 25,000 and also launched a base diesel version of the car. Chevy is aiming to improve its market share and all set to launch various budget friendly cars. The company will soon launch Enjoy MPV and Beat facelift in India.
