    BMW India eyes at maintaining the numero uno position

    Indian Auto market is a battle ground for Germans in auto mobiles especially for arch rivals BMW and Mercedes Benz. If looking at the sales figures BMW has left the rivals behind. The German auto company did that for two years and now plans to achieve the same in the third year as well. BMW visions to double its previous year's sale of 6,426 cars and cementing its number one position in the Indian auto market.

    Indian Auto market is a battle ground for Germans in auto mobiles especially for arch rivals BMW and Mercedes Benz. If looking at the sales figures BMW has left the rivals behind. The German auto company did that for two years and now plans to achieve the same in the third year as well.

    BMW visions to double its previous year's sale of 6,426 cars and cementing its number one position in the Indian auto market. Andreas Schaaf President BMW India said that the German auto maker is viewing a great market and the company is devoted towards the Indian auto market. He also added that the auto makers will deliver the quality to its buyers.

    It is believed that BMW will be able to get it by offering aggressive product lines and increasing its market. The company will soon enter with BMW 6 series convertible and an all new BMW X3 SUV this year. Mr Schaaf revealed that BMW 6 Series convertible will not increase the sales figures but will give momentum in its portfolio. It is expected that BMW X3 series will enter the Indian shores by mid of this year. It will add great value to the sales figures, as per the President.

    BMW has planned to increase its establishment in the country by raising the number to 40 by the coming year. The German auto marvels will select the cities in which they are seeing the potential of car sales. BMW India, in the advancement of increasing its sales the company has raised its manufacturing capacity in the Chennai production unit from 8,000 cars to 10,000 cars in a single shift. There are also high speculations that BMW has taken 20 acres of land near by Chennai production unit.

    Mr Schraaf stated that CKD was just to make entry in the Indian auto market while the auto company plans to start its own set up. He did not mentioned any further details on it.

    The way that BMW cars are selling currently it does look very possible for BMW to maintain and better its No 1 position this year too.
