Now there are some perks that one gets being a part of the Auto Press and one of the perks is, that we get to see a lot of 'firsts' time and again, but this one was something special. 'Special' because, this was the first time ever that Audi AG unveiled a new car to the world press exclusively via the World Wide Web. Today we witnessed a very unique unveiling of the Audi RS 5 Cabriolet.

The thing that one notices first and foremost about this car is the Sound. The sound of the car lets you know what power it hold under its hood. This car is powered by a 4.2 FSI V8 engine, delivering an output of 450bhp and has a capability to accelerate from 0-100kmph in 4.9 seconds. The car delivers a limited top speed of 250kmph and can go up to limited speed of 280kmph. The 7-speed S-tronic present in the RS 5 Cabriolet helps in assuring a high-level of efficiency. The Quattro permanent All-Wheel drive further gives an edge to the stability and traction.

The exterior design has the perfect muscular Audi flair to it, with the special textile roof, alloy wheels, LED light strips at the rear, diffuser placed a little higher, matt carbon spoiler lip etc. The wedge shaped headlights with xenon plus lamps, LED strips that form the daytime running lights, large air intakes and the sharp look of the side profile, make the RS 5 Cabriolet a beauty.

The sport seats have power adjustments, fine chrome highlights understated by high-gloss black trim along with carbon inlays which can be specially made in Aluminum Race, piano finish black, matt brushed aluminum or stainless steel. The tachometer, gear selector grip of the 7-Speed S tronic etc. gives exclusivity to Audi’s latest.

Enough of the written word, watch the streaming of the unveiling of the Audi RS 5 Cabriolet, hosted by Martin Haven, Motor Journalist who is supported by the Audi DTM Drivers, Rahel Frey and Edoardo Mortara.
