This special edition of the Audi S5 is only offered in two distinct exterior shades, and also gets and cosmetic enhancements inside and out

The Audi S5 Sportback gets a limited-run 'Platinum Edition' this festive season, priced at Rs 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom). It's the third Audi model to receive a special edition in recent weeks, following the Audi Q5 and Audi Q8 luxury SUVs. This special edition will be available in two distinct exterior shades: District Green and Mythos Black. Let’s see what else is special about the Audi S5 Sportback Platinum Edition.

Exterior Highlights

The Platinum Edition of the Audi S5 Sportback features Matrix LED headlights with laser light technology, enhancing the high-beam throw for improved visibility. It also boasts Audi's Black Styling Package Plus, which includes black inserts on the grille and window line. Audi has additionally equipped this special edition of the sports sedan with red brake calipers featuring the 'S' insignia.

Apart from these enhancements, the S5 Sportback Platinum Edition is the same as its regular version from the outside.

Special Interiors

Inside, this limited edition Audi S5 Sportback features Sports Plus seats with pneumatic adjustments for side bolsters, lumbar support, and massage functions for enhanced comfort. These seats are upholstered in Magma red Nappa leather, adding a sportier appeal to the interior. It  also gets carbon fibre inserts , and door entrance LED lights with ‘S’ logo projection.

Feature List

The Audi S5 Sportback Platinum edition is equipped with several amenities, including a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, and a 180W 6-speaker audio system with 6 amplifiers. It also offers 3-zone climate control, a panoramic glass roof, and ambient lighting.

No Mechanical Changes

Audi hasn't made any mechanical changes to the S5 Sportback with the Platinum edition. It continues to be powered by a 3-litre V6 turbo-petrol engine, producing 354PS and 500Nm. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through the quattro (all-wheel-drive, rear-biased) system. It features a self-locking centre differential, distributing power in a 40:60 ratio to the front and rear axles, respectively. It can sprint from nought to 100kmph in 4.8 seconds.

For the Sportier handling, the S5 Sportback is fitted with S Sports suspension with damper control for more direct contact with the road. 

Price Range & Rivals

The Audi S5 Sportback is now priced between Rs 75.74 lakh and Rs 81.57 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). In India, it directly competes with the BMW M340i.
