Audi RS6 and RS7 Get Performance Editions
Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 feature twin-turbocharged 4.0 litre V8 that has been tweaked to produce 650bhp and 750Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. All of these improvements have been made under the Performance Edition package and these enhancements have resulted in an increase of 45bhp of excess power and 50Nm of excess torque, in comparison to the standard RS6 and RS7. The improved acceleration helps the car get from 0 to 100 kmph in under 3.7 seconds, which happens to be 0.2 seconds faster than the standard variants of the car. The Top speed of the car as a result has also been improved for the Performance editions and now caps off at 280 kmph in the RS6 and 305 kmph for the RS7.
Aesthetic updates of the car include new alloy wheels, as the cars tread on 21” alloys now and the cars flaunt Ascari metallic blue exterior paint. wrapped in 285/30 R21 tyres for the RS6 while 275/30 R21 tyres for the RS7. Both the cars also feature Dynamic Ride Control and Dynamic Steering varying the steering ratio, which is coupled with the new sports suspension to deliver the optimum handling characteristics. On the interiors, we see a matt titanium finish and Audi’s iconic Quattro logo, which is located near air ducts. The RS6 is priced at US$ 132,442 (INR 85,90,850) and the RS7 comes to us with a price tag of US$ 141,066 (INR 91,54,541)
