Audi Q3 India launch slated for June 2012
Audi India is ready to launch its entry level SUV, Audi Q3 Crossover in India by the month of June 2012. This car will directly compete with BMW X1 Crossover and the yet to be launched Mercedes Benz B-Class Sports Tourer hatchback. The new Audi Q3 Crossover will certainly win numerous hearts in the country as Audi India has worked very hard on this product and made it strong, stylish and inspiring in all terms. The 2012 Audi Q3 SUV will be launched with a 2 litre TDI turbo diesel engine that will generate 170 BHP of peak power with 350 Nm of maximum torque.

However, there is no confirmed news about the petrol variant of the car, but rumors suggest that it will arrive by the month of September or October 2012. Apparently, the petrol variant of Audi Q3 Crossover will sport 2.0 litre TFSi petrol motor that would churn out 211 BHP of maximum power. In addition to this, the 2012 Audi Q3 will be assembled at Audi’s Aurangabad manufacturing plant via CKD kits that will facilitate Audi to price Audi Q3 Crossover very competitively. However, Audi might not just undercut the much appreciated BMW X1 as far as pricing is concerned, but Audi might go with a loaded diesel variant from the beginning.

Therefore, its signature Quattro all wheel drive mode will come as a standard feature on Audi Q3 along with the automatic S-Tronic transmission. Hence, the price of Audi Q3 Crossover will go a bit higher than BMW X1.
