Audi On The Path Of Selling 1.5 million Cars Sooner Than Planned
The German luxury car giant, Audi which is also the luxury arm of Volkswagen group mentioned that the company is on the path of achieving its target sale of 1.5 million vehicles (both cars and SUVs) before the scheduled date of 2015. In the words of Mr. Rupert Stadler, the Chief Executive of the company, all the things are in their respective places and looking at the scenario the company may be able to achieve its target well before scheduled time. Mr. Stadler stated this at the annual shareholder conference of the car makers which was held in Ingolstadt in Germany.

According to the Chief Financial Officer the company, Mr, Axel Stortbek, if the economy this year does not slump then Audi may be able to match its record of last year’s operating profit which stood at 5.35 billion euros or 6.93 billion USD. Without going into much detail, he added that the company is aiming at high sales and revenue. Audi has been doing pretty well in terms of sales and volumes, and not very long back it had trounced Mercedes Benz to emerge as the second biggest luxury car maker in India, after BMW. Audi India has recently launched the refreshed version of its luxury spilling sedan Audi A4 at a base price of Rs. 27.33 lakh (ex-showroom Maharashtra).
