Audi and Ducati Team Up; in Video

Ducati lead the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb once again, for the third time in a row. The Multisrada 1200S which Carlin Dunne was riding, started from the pole position, recorded a time of 9:52.819. Along with him, the Spider Grips Ducati team-mate, Greg Tracy, stood at the second position with a time of 9:58.262. Greg Tracy has stood as the winner six times.

Dunne, at his victory said that the work and effort that the Spider Grips Ducati team has put in to help prepare for the Pikes Peak, has played a very important role in allowing him to cross the finish line in less than 10 minutes.

The average speed of the Ducati was 230kmph throughout the course. Audi had released a teaser video as well, for the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Starring the video was the mysterious RS5 project which seems to have some connection with the Ducati. Still have to figure out, the “what.” Before the race, Audi had commented on the participation and had also stated that the Audi and Ducati are to team up at Pikes Peak to celebrate their common heritage.
