A Bigger Land Rover Evoque is Under Development?
Land over is currently working on a new project, which is the bigger version of the SUV Range Rover Evoque. The British automaker may launch the new version of the SUV after 2015. The information reveals that the bigger Evoque has been codenamed as L560. The design of the new Evoque has not been finalized yet and the company is still working on the accurate design and proper style. There are chances that the designs which are reveled are the design of the future Evoque.
Range Rover Evoque has won many awards in just few weeks of its launch, so it has been a very successful project of Land Rover. The car has always been acclaimed for its sharp design style and has won some awards for its design recently. The biggest shortcoming of the SUV is the limited interior space. To overcome this problem of space Land Rover has made plans to make the Evoque bigger. There will be a significant extension in the wheel base of the SUV to make it more spacious. The car will be five seater and there are no such plans of Tata Motors to launch the new version with seven seats.
The improved engine of Range Rover Evoque will be incorporated in the bigger Range Rover Evoque (L560) to provide power to the SUV. The launch of the car is a part of the Tata Motors product strategy. A market research study is also being conducted by Tata Motors to set up a manufacturing facility in India for the next generation of Land Rover Defender. The new facility is likely to be set up in Gujarat and will commence the production only after 2015, though Tata Motors have signed the deals with the Government of Gujarat.
