2025 Kia Carens Clavis EV Mid-spec HTX Variant Explained In 11 Images
The mid-spec HTX variant is the only variant to come with both battery pack options available with the Carens Clavis EV
The Kia Carens Clavis EV, priced from Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 24.49 lakh (ex-showroom), is offered in three broad variants: HTK Plus, HTX and HTX Plus. Notably, the mid-spec HTX variant is the only variant in the Clavis EV lineup to get both battery packs. In this report, we particularly focus on the mid-spec HTX trim of the Carens Clavis EV in images. Let’s begin.
Front
The mid-spec HTX variant of the Kia Carens Clavis EV shares the same clean fascia as its other trims, featuring a closed-off grille and a slim LED light bar that connects the angular LED DRLs. The sharp 3-pod LED headlamps are housed in triangular enclosures. The bumper looks rugged with black cladding and silver accents, and it also gets rectangular pixel-style LED fog lamps neatly integrated at the bottom.
Side
The Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX sits on 16-inch all-black alloy wheels with aero covers, while the HTX Extended Range with the larger battery pack gets larger 17-inch dual-tone alloys – that’s the only exterior difference between the two trims! The door handles and outside rear view mirrors (ORVMs) are finished in body colour, while there’s a prominent black cladding complemented by a silver insert over the doors.
Rear
At the rear, the Carens Clavis EV HTX sports a full-width LED light bar that links the sharp-looking tail lamps on both ends. The bumper carries forward the rugged look with prominent black cladding and silver accents, matching the design theme from the front and sides.
Interior
Inside, the Carens Clavis EV HTX is finished in a dual-tone Triton Navy and Beige theme that gives it an upmarket vibe. Do note that the lower-spec HTK Plus variant comes with a black and beige hue. The dashboard features a sleek horizontal design with a dual display setup for an infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. Below the screen, there’s a slim ambient light strip that spans the width of the dashboard and extends to the door panels.
The central AC vents are neatly tucked below the screen, and the panel for AC and infotainment controls sits below, which is integrated in the same unit and can be swapped using a button.
The flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel is leather-wrapped and finished in a dual-tone navy blue and beige theme. The centre console flows smoothly from the dash and houses a small storage area, USB charging ports, and cup holders.
From this variant onwards, you also get a panoramic sunroof, and rear seat comfort is well taken care of with a foldable centre armrest and sunshades in the second row.
Features Safety
The Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX variant comes with features such as dual 12.25-inch displays for infotainment and digital driver’s display, connected car tech, a 6-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, sunshades for second-row passengers, an air purifier, ambient lighting and cruise control.
Features like an 8-speaker premium Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, a 4-way power adjustable driver’s seat and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology are reserved for the top-end HTX Plus variant.
The HTX’s safety suite includes all the features like six airbags, a 360-degree camera system, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) with blind spot monitoring, electronic stability control, hill start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and all-wheel disc brakes.
