2013 Honda Civic Showcased at LA Show

Honda Motors has showcased the new 2013 Honda Civic at the LA Auto Show where it is seen with a whole host of new gadgetry and safety features. While Honda has discontinued the Civic in India due to slumping sales figures, it still has a very strong presence in the international market.

The new Honda Civic will play host to new features like Bluetooth, steering mounted controls and USB port connection in the accessories and entertainment section. Taking the safety point of view, we find the new Civic has been built with that in mind. Honda has utilised their Advanced Compatibility Engineering build that does the job of diverting the impact force of a head on collision away from the front passengers.

Also available are the LWD and FWC safety systems that will be present in the hybrid Civic model. Honda plans on using multiple engine options based on fuel economy and performance. For the fuel conscious, there is the 1.8-litre 4-cylinder Honda Civic i-VTEC engine. The performance Civic will house the 2.4-litre engine with 6-speed transmission.
