If you haven’t, then here is the picture captured by our die-hard fan in Thane to show how hot the country’s favourite small car has now become. The ultra-compact car Tata Nano launched back in 2009 has almost reached every nook and corner of the country and that includes the country’s police stations too. The small car project driven by Tata Motors to become a primary mode of transport, synonymous with the two-wheelers in India, has won the hearts of the Thane Police to put Nano in a different light altogether.

This shows that Tata Motors is definitely going places with Tata Nano small car which has many things going at the moment with the bombshell in hand. The frugality of the ultra-compact small car did not spare even the police from its wiles now that the 2012 Tata Nano has all the more promising fuel efficiency numbers of 25 kmpl to boast about. While the auto major is on the brink of launching the Tata Nano CNG it displayed at the Auto Expo, and Tata Nano diesel plans also now getting a little closer to reality, Tata Motors has decided to bundle off the compact package to other parts of the world as well.
The compact hatchback has already stepped into the neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka and Nepal and Bangladesh seems to be its next target. The export plans to Bangladesh are just finalised where the initial lot of 200 units of Tata Nano will be shipped off the eastern neighbouring country of India. Quickly gaining larger than life image, Tata Nano is being fully utilised by Tata Motors with an estimation of 2,000 units sale of the small car in Bangladesh with the help of their local distributor Nitol Group. The car is expected to sell like hotcakes in the country despite its price to creep up to Rs 4.08 lakh in Bangladesh which is basically 650k Taka in local currency.
