Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG Launching Tomorrow
After introducing the GLA crossover in country, Mercedes Benz India is all set to launch the GLA 45 AMG tomorrow on 27th October, 2014. The GLA 45 AMG is the AMG version of GLA Class. The SUV is powered by the AMG 2.0-liter turbo engine which also does duty in CLA 45 AMG. According to the manufacturer, the AMG 2.0-liter turbo engine is the most powerful series-production four-cylinder turbo engine in the world.
As a part of AMG badging, the SUV embraces AMG add-ons which includes sportier front bumper, new front grille with AMG tagging, side skirts, red highlights, black roof and redesigned rear bumpers with diffusers and quad exhausts. While inside the cabin, the SUV features black and aluminum metal inserts, Recaro-AMG sports seats at front, leather upholstery with red stitching and highlights. The interior of the premium SUV reminds us of the CLA 45 AMG.
As aforementioned, the GLA 45 AMG is powered by Mercedes AMG 2.0 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol engine which churns a max power of 355bhp and peak torque of 450Nm. The engine is mated to an AMG SpeedShift DCT 7-Speed sports transmission which comes with three driving modes 'M' - Manual, 'S' – Sports and 'C' – Controlled Efficiency modes. GLA 45 AMG also comes with standard AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
Since the company has already introduced the CLA 45 AMG at Rs 68.50 lakh, it is expected that the GLA 45 AMG will also be priced in the same price vicinity. And like the CLA 45 AMG (The Most Affordable AMG Saloon), the GLA 45 AMG will also be the most affordable AMG SUV from the Stuttgart based manufacturer.
