Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is finally at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, standing with a mighty stance at the manufacturer's pavilion. FCA India has at last unveiled the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at the ongoing Auto Expo, in Noida. The vehicle is expected to be launched in the second quarter of 2016, along with other Jeep vehicles like the Grand Cherokee. The American off-roading company has been trying to make its way to India, but nothing was confirmed till today. When launched, the Wrangler Unlimited is expected to lock horn with the Land Rover Discovery Sport, but will come in with a much more competitive price.

The tough off-roader derives its design cues from the very advent of Jeep, something that we, Indians, are quite fond of. The exposed front wheels shed by the flared wheel cowls, a contemporary styled bonnet setup and the signature Jeep grille, lets the car stay true to its colours . The purpose built angled bumper shows this SUV’s intent to ravage any terrain. The rear too remains faithful to that classic Jeep’s image - with a tailgate mounted spare wheel.
Step inside and the brawler will astonish you with the level of luxury it provides and appears, which works as a complete contrast from its rugged exteriors. The all black upright dashboard gets features like touchscreen infotainment system, circular A/C vents and controls along with a thick grab rail. Then, there is the instrument cluster with digital screen to provide the driver with essential information. The fat tri-spoke steering wheel comes with lot of handy controls for cruise control, music, calls, etc.
Power is expected to come through a 2.8-litre diesel that is pegged at 200 bhp of power and 460 Nm of torque in America. However, for India, the same engine might come, but some alterations could be made to suit our driving conditions and environment.
