Jeep will unveil the updated 2017 versions of the Grand Cherokee – Summit and SRT – at the upcoming Paris Motor Show this week. The cars made their world debut at this year’s New York Motor Show in March; and this will be the 2017 Summit and the SRT variants’ first appearance on the other side of the Atlantic (EMEA region).

Speaking of the changes, the new version of the Summit comes with a subtly updated front fascia, with elements such as a redesigned bumper with LED foglamps. The headlamps flanking Jeep's signature seven-slot grille in the updated Summit are set closer to it than the previous version. The side profile features new 20-inch, polished, five-spoke aluminium wheels.

The cabin of the 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit will become more luxurious with the new full-wrap Laguna leather interiors in two new colour combinations – Indigo and Ski Gray – in addition to the existing ones. The updated interior also boasts a Nappa leather-wrapped dashboard, centre console and door panels, and Laguna leather seats with edge welting.

The 2017 Grand Cherokee SRT, which is powered by a 6.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 beast, features an updated front fascia with functional air intakes, fog lamps and grille.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) introduced the Jeep brand in India with the launch of the 2016 Grand Cherokee and the Wrangler Unlimited on August 30. Both the SUVs are imported as CBUs (completely built units) and attract a hefty price tag. There’s no official word from the automaker regarding the introduction of the 2017 Summit and the SRT, which are believed to be the last global updates of these particular variants of the Grand Cherokee before an all-new replacement arrives in 2018-19.
