Does the Tata Harrier EV offer the same comfort levels as its ICE-powered sibling? We find out
The electric iteration of the popular Tata Harrier, called the Tata Harrier EV, was recently launched in India with price starting from Rs 21.49 lakh (introductory ex-showroom, pan-India). While the combustion-powered Harrier gets a comfortable rear seat bench with ample space, does the experience differ in the Harrier EV because of the inclusion of the battery pack underneath the floor? We answer this in a recent reel on the CarDekho Instagram handle.

Here’s what we did to find it out:
Setup
To find the cabin space available for rear seat passengers, we adjusted the driver seat to a position that would be comfortable for a 5 feet 8 inch individual, which is the height of an average-sized Indian adult. After that, we moved onto the rear bench and tried seating 3 individuals with varying heights to check how comfortable they felt.
Here’s what we found:
Ujjawall Agarwal (5 Feet 8 Inches)
Ujjawall adjusted the driver’s seat to his comfortable driving position and hopped on to the rear seat. He had more than enough headroom, legroom and knee room. The under-thigh support was also good and he felt comfortable as the seat cocooned him well.
Arun Shenoy (5 Feet 11 Inches)
Arun measures nearly 6 feet in height and while he had ample legroom and headroom, under-thigh support was just adequate for him. A bit more underthigh support would have been welcome, but it is still acceptable enough for a tall occupant.
Tushar Kamath (6 Feet 5 Inches)
As most of you all know, our bossman, Tushar Kamath, is the tallest person in our office and measures 6 feet 5 inches. Even for his tall height, Tushar had about an inch of legroom, which is acceptable for his height. That said, headroom and underthigh support was in short supply considering his broader frame.
