The M9 is MG’s upcoming luxury electric MPV, set to be sold through MG’s premium Select dealerships. The M9 is for those who give topmost priority to comfort and need a practical three-row 7-seater to ferry around. The MPV boasts a long list of features, but how is its seating experience? Does it offer the level of comfort that you would expect from a car of this size and price category? We have answered all these questions and more in a recent reel on our CarDekho Instagram handle.

    Here’s what we found out:

    MG M9 Rear Seat Experience

The M9 comes with individual ottoman chairs that are soft and supportive, and provide you with a lounge-like experience. You get all the convenience and comforts that you would want, and that includes the option of controlling the windows, the massive panoramic sunroof and even the ambient lighting.

It also comes with a rear entertainment screen and your seat can be adjusted in 16 ways that include moving it front and back, sideways, reclining it and also changing the position of your headrests. If that wasn’t enough, you get seat ventilation, heating and massage functions as well.

Features aside, there are plenty of storage options to keep your bottles and cans. There are multiple charging ports ensuring that you do not end up fighting with other passengers. That being said, it also gets a “Sleep Comfort Mode” that moves the co-driver seat and reclines your seats enough to give you the ultimate bed-like experience while traveling.

    Price And Rivals

The M9 is expected to be launched this month, with the MPV likely to retail from Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. The M9 won’t have any direct rivals as such, but will be a more affordable EV alternative to the ICE-powered Toyota Vellfire. It will also be a slightly premium alternative to the diesel-powered Kia Carnival.
