Volvo Cars not to participate in 2014 Indian Auto Expo
The next big event 2014 Indian Auto Expo is around the corner, and all the renowned car manufacturers are looking forward to make most of it. Like other automakers, we expected that Volvo would too participate at the event, but the Swedish automaker will not present any vehicle at the show. A couple of days back, the company launched the facelifted XC60 SUV and S60 saloon in India, and is all ready to introduce the updated XC90.

Like other automakers, we expected that Volvo would too participate at the event, the Swedish automaker will not present any vehicle at the show. A couple of days back, the company launched the facelifted XC60 SUV and S60 saloon in India, and is all ready to introduce the updated XC90.
It was expected that Volvo India could launch the 2014 XC90 SUV at the next year's Indian Auto Expo, but now it is unclear whether it will come at the same event or not. We also interviewed Mr Tomas Ernberg, Managing Director, Volvo India, who revealed that facelift S80 premium saloon could come by the end of this year. Moreover, the company is also planning to increase its dealership network in India, currently it has 15 outlets and is planning to add three more by the end of this year. He also revealed that the new XC90 will come to the country by the first half of 2014.
It is still unclear why Volvo is not attending next year's auto show, where it will have a chance to interact with crowd and get feedback about the company. It might also have different plans for the Indian auto industry, which could restrict the manufacturer to join this event. However, it is early to comment on the same, all things will be cleared once the Auto Expo dates come closer.
