Volkswagen Group India top level gets shuffled
The top level of Volkswagen Group India has received few major shufflings with Mr. Mahesh Kodumudi, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen India Private Limited, now appointed as Group Chief Representative for VW Group India. With effect from 1st May 2014, Mr. Thierry Lespiaucq will take hold of the Managing Director position, Volswagen Sales India Private Limited. From the team, Mr. Arvind Saxena has resigned from the position of Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars Division in India.

Mr. Mahesh Kodumudi (48), President & Managing Director, Volkswagen India Private Limited is taking over the additional role of Group Chief Representative of Volkswagen Group India with immediate effect. He follows in this position which was formerly held by Mr. Gerasimos Dorizas, who returned to Europe in December 2013.
With effect from 1st May 2014, Mr. Thierry Lespiaucq (58), currently Volkswagen Brand Director, Volkswagen de Mexico, has been appointed as Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited. He succeeds Mr. Kodumudi, who had temporarily taken over the additional responsibilities as Head of Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited last December.
Mr. Thierry Lespiaucq has been in the automotive industry for thirty five years. He joined the Volkswagen Group as Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars for Volkswagen Group France in May 2004. Before joining Volkswagen Group, he was CEO of Renault-Nissan Suisse and Toyota France and spent 14 years at General Motors handling Sales, After Sales and Service.
Mr. Arvind Saxena (54), who led the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Division as Director for the last 18 months has decided to leave Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited by end of February 2014.
