VinFast VF6 And VinFast VF7 Bookings Open Tomorrow, Here’s Everything You Need To Know

VinFast is getting ready to launch its first cars in India, and bookings for the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7 will open tomorrow. These are both electric SUVs that will be brought in as fully built units. The VF6 is the smaller one, more suited for everyday use, while the VF7 is a full-size SUV and comes with more features. Both cars have already been displayed at malls across major Indian cities.

VinFast VF6
The VinFast VF6 is a compact electric SUV with a clean, minimal design and distinctive LED lighting at both ends, alongside four colour options: Neptune Grey, Brahminy White, Crimson Red and Jet Black.
Inside, the cabin gets a dark brown and black dual-tone theme with soft-touch materials on the dash and doors that give it an upmarket feel. It’s a practical five-seater with a simple and easy-to-use layout. In terms of features, the VF6 comes with a 12.9-inch touchscreen, auto AC and ventilated and heated front seats. It replaces the usual digital cluster with a head-up display.
Safety features for the India-spec model are yet to be confirmed, but the international version gets multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera and a Level-2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). These could be offered here as well.
While VinFast hasn’t revealed the powertrain details for India, the global version gets a 59.6 kWh battery paired with a front-mounted motor, offered in two versions.

VinFast VF7
The VinFast VF7 is a full-size electric SUV positioned above the VF6, offering more in terms of size, features, and performance. It sports a sharp, futuristic design with signature LED lighting, a sporty rear diffuser, and flush door handles.
Inside, the VF7 gets a dual-tone cabin with leatherette surfaces and a clean, driver-focused layout. It’s a five-seater with adjustable headrests and a 12.9-inch touchscreen slightly tilted towards the driver. Like the VF6, it replaces the instrument cluster with a head-up display.
Expected features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, and a 360-degree camera. The safety kit will likely include multiple airbags, an electronic parking brake, an auto-dimming IRVM and a full ADAS suite. It will be available in two trims, Eco and Plus, the specifications of which are as follows:

Expected Price Rivals
The VinFast VF6 is likely to be priced at around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it in direct competition with the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.
Meanwhile, the VinFast VF7 is expected to start from Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), and will take on rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Sealion 7, and the BMW iX1 LWB.
