Tata Nexon: Camo Edition Launched

Tata has launched the Nexon Camo edition, giving it a refresh for features and colours for 2026. The Camo edition of the Nexon is priced from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The starting price of the Creative variant is the same as the regular Nexon's Creative variant. The Camo edition is available from the Creative variant onwards. Exterior

The Tata Nexon has been among the top-selling vehicles in the country for the last couple of years. The sheer popularity has made its design familiar almost to a household level. The Camo edition also introduces two new colours to the Nexon range: Munnar Mist and the Coorg Cloud.

• The Nexon Camo edition carries the same styling as the regular Nexon. This means the slim LED DRLs on the front catch attention on the fascia.

• Either corner of the bumper houses the LED projector headlamps and the LED fog lamps, which is similar to the Tata SUV family look.

• Notice the air curtains below the headlamps, which help to improve aero efficiency.

• The overall bulbous look of the Nexon gives it its identity as a compact SUV and gives it one of the strongest road presences in the segment right after the Kia Sonet.

Side

• The side profile is also identical to the Nexon, as this is just another edition based on it.

• The soft design cues are carried from the front to the rear.

• The raked windscreen also gives it a fast look and reduces wind resistance.

• The Camo badge on the front fender is one of the only recognisable details that give away the Camo edition apart from the new paint shades.

• Overall, the elements like the shark fin antenna, roof rails, and dual-tone alloy wheels complete the profile of the Nexon Camo.

Rear

• The rear end of the Nexon Camo has a typical crossover silhouette. Thanks to its tall but rounded-off design.

• The connected LED tail lamps have almost an X-shaped design.

• Notice the neatly tucked-in hidden rear wiper under the top-mounted spoiler.

• The rear bumper also carries a similar design language to the front, thanks to the housing of the reverse lamps and the reflectors.

• The bumper also houses two parking sensors, the number plate, and a faux silver skid plate which completes the look of the rear end of the Nexon Camo edition.

Interior

The interiors of the Nexon Camo are almost identical to the regular Nexon, but for the Camo branding on the front headrests. The low-set dashboard aids good frontal visibility and makes it look simplistic. The floating touchscreen grabs the most attention and sits well with the rest of the cabin’s design. The panoramic sunroof helps let a lot of light into the cabin, giving it an airier feel inside. While in our testing with the Tata Nexon, we have not felt the cabin to be lacking in space or comfort. We only felt the lack of cup holders for the front seat passengers.

Features And Safety

The Nexon Camo edition has been launched with a few upgrades in features, including a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets the inclusion of a dashcam feature in the 360-degree camera with 1 GB internal storage expandable up to 256 GB with a USB pendrive. While the 360-degree camera is a boon for the Indian roads, the feature doubling up as a dashcam adds to the safety factor of the car.

Other features include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless charger, keyless entry with engine push-button start, ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker JBL-branded sound system and connected car technology.

Safety includes ABS with EBD, 6 airbags, hill-hold assist (HHA), front and rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The top variant also gets Level-2 ADAS features.

The Nexon has also scored 5 stars in both the BNCAP and GNCAP crash tests, which further adds to the Nexon’s safety credentials.

Powertrain

The Tata Nexon comes in 3 engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo petrol, a 1.2-litre turbo petrol with CNG and a 1.5-litre diesel. Powertrain specifications are as follows:

Price And Rivals

The Tata Nexon Camo edition is priced at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.

The Tata Nexon goes against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Brezza and Fronx, Kia Sonet and Syros, Toyota Taisor, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the Mahindra XUV3XO.

The Nexon Camo edition brings a small refresh to the Nexon range and definitely reminds people shopping in this segment of the features of the Nexon. While the competition has moved forward thanks to the recently updated, Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Brezza, this will help to keep the Nexon relevant and up to date, especially in the features game. Though the regular and Camo editions will stay on sale together with a price hike of around Rs 20,000 on average, it is logical to go for the Camo edition given that you objectively get more for your money.
