Tata Grande facelift sheds ‘Sumo’
Tata Sumo launched by Tata Motors in 1997 gave way to Tata Sumo Grande in 2008. This MUV (Multi Utility Vehicle) did wonders in passenger as well as commercial taxi segment. But now, new facelift version has dropped its middle name ‘Sumo’ and is dispatched to the dealers just as ‘Tata Grande’. The facelift version has witnessed mild cosmetic changes. The front is continuing to dress with chrome lined broad radiator grille.

However, sides are marked with changes like sporty graphics. Also, Tata Grande gets acrylic treatment around the rear windshield. Otherwise, the interiors are untouched and technical make-up is intact with 2.2 litre DICOR engine continuing in the facelift. Spacious interiors draped in plush dual barley beige and ebony black tone finish gives the same soft feel with seat fabric. The new version has the same dual AC with concealed roof ducts.

There is so much similarity in the old and new version that Tata Motors have not even changed the price of the facelifted Tata Grande SUV. The dealers have started receiving new Tata Grande last couple of days back. New version is offered in two variants, namely, Tata Grande MKII and Tata Grande MKII Turbo.
