Tata Aria to be launched shortly

Tata Aria, the new seven seater crossover between a SUV and MPV by Tata Motors is going to be launched soon. The company is planning to launch the vehicle in the coming few weeks. It is expected that the car would be on rolls for exports, but as the company officials announced recently, there are no such plans in the immediate future.

Tata Aria would sport a 2.2-litre direct injection common rail diesel engine, that presently supports Tata Safari and Fiat Grande Punto. Although the exact price is not charted yet, the crossover is expected to be priced between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 14.5 lakh. Tata motors is surely placing great hopes on the vehicle as it is going to be on of the most sophisticated vehicle from Tata.

On a recent occasion, the top officials from Tata motors cleared the air that the car would soon be launched and most likely in the months of May or June. As for exports, it was mentioned that the car would be made available outside the country based on the needs and relevance calculated over time. In the next decade the Tata Aria is expected to roll in the markets of US, the UK and Europe. However, in India the car would be launched in Diesel engine only, Tata motors would be catering to a wide range of power-train options for the Europian markets.

Tata Aria would be a tough competition to all the contemporaries as it's going to offer an array of features similar to Ford Endeavor, Chevrolet Captiva and Toyota fortuner but at a lesser base value. Tata motors would offer a four-wheel and two-wheel drive options in all its variants.
