Take A Look At The Kia Carens Clavis’ Mid-spec HTK Variant In 12 Images
The mid-spec HTK variant gets all the three engine options, but only with a manual transmission
The Kia Carens Clavis was launched recently in 7 broad variants: HTE, HTE (O), HTK, HTK Plus, HTK Plus (O), HTX and HTX Plus. If you’re eyeing for the mid variants, the HTK looks a bit premium with the inclusion of LED DRLs, roof rails and a dual-tone black and beige cabin theme. We have gotten hold of some real-life images of this variant of the Kia Carens Clavis. Let us understand how it looks in real life with the help of 12 images.
Front
While the HTK variant of the Kia Carens Clavis borrows halogen projector headlights from the base-spec trim, it features inverted V-shaped LED DRLs that look modern and stylish.
The grille is blanked out and the Clavis gets a black rugged portion on the front bumper with a faux silver skid plate for a contrasting look. This variant misses out on any driver assistance feature or a 360-degree camera setup, but features front parking sensors.
Side
In profile, the Carens Clavis’ HTK trim features 15-inch black alloy wheels, suggesting that this is the naturally aspirated petrol variant. If you opt for the diesel or the turbo-petrol engines, these are replaced by 16-inch steel rims with stylised wheel covers. It also gets a black cladding on the wheel arches and the lower portion of the doors.
While it borrows a shark fin antenna and electrically adjustable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) with integrated turn indicators from the previous HTE (O) trim, this variant gets silver roof rails.
Rear
At the rear, the mid-spec HTK trim packs in wraparound LED tail lights, but they are not connected via a lightbar, unlike the higher-spec variants. Instead, a gloss black trim spans from one tail light unit to another.
The rear bumper gets a black cladding and features a faux silver skid plate, similar to the front bumper. It also gets a shark fin antenna and a roof-mounted spoiler.
Interior
Inside, the HTK variant features a two-tone black and beige hues inside, but the seats get a black semi-leatherette upholstery.
The dashboard features a dark grey finish with a silver trim, a 4-spoke black steering wheel, a semi-digital driver’s display and an 8-inch touchscreen with dedicated physical buttons and knobs.
Beneath the infotainment system is an AC control panel, but unlike the top-spec HTX Plus trim, the HTK variant gets dedicated physical controls to adjust the airflow and temperature. The higher-end version gets a swappable panel for the infotainment and automatic climate control.
The Clavis HTK is available only with 7 seats, with the middle row getting a centre armrest.
