We have been constantly updating you on the EcoSport, and today we have got the exclusive spy pictures of the car ahead of its expected to launch in March 2013. Images are clicked by one of our avid readers, Rohan Patil, who have not clicked just one or two images, he has been able to click the images of several EcoSports, which were going in a bunch around Pune, however he could not manage to click the front images.

One of the caught pictures clearly show a petrol version of the compact SUV sporting still rims and wheel covers, which is possibly the entry level variant of the vehicle. And the picture that has three EcoSports going in a row were missing the variant badges, possibly there were kept hidden for some reasons. The company that already sells the EcoSport in Brazil, is competing neck to neck with the Renault Duster there, so we are expecting to see a similar level of competition here in India as well.
The compact SUV has already created sensation for so many reasons be it the frugal 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, sub 4-metre length or its appearance, but one reason which makes the EcoSport a much awaited product is the fact that the vehicle will be priced very competitive as about 80% of the content used to build the vehicle is local.
We have also learned from our close sources that the company is also planning to launch an automatic version of the car to offer more options to its buyers. The EcoSport automatic is most likely to have the similar dual-clutch automatic gearbox known as powershift, which is said to be the cheapest dual-clutch gearbox in the world.
