New Tata Indica XL Spy Pictures
The taxi market has a strong presence of Tata motors competing with Mahindra Verito, the Toyota Etios and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. To maintain its lead in the taxi market, Tata have to bring in some innovation. The major taxi market has cabs for BPOs and IT firms employees or it constitutes of the radio cab.
These segments do not necessarily require a big boot space but a better legroom and seat comfort is necessary. The new Tata Indica XL will be having these features in it. The Indica XL has a bonnet and cabin similar to Indigo XL, comprising the tail end as Indica.
This has resulted in a large cabin with an ample space for legroom and a boot space enough for the backpacks and similar stuffs. The vehicle has rear A/C vents for enhanced cooling in the cabin.
The upholstery is of plastic and is grey in color as visible from the spy shots. There are chances that the upholstery will be changed to beige after it is launched in the market. The name of the car can be something more exciting, when the car comes at launch and the Indica XL could be a codename for the time being.
The vehicle may have a 1.4-litre CR4 oilburner, which is presently available in Indica eV2 and claims to be a fuel efficient engine. The engine provides a 90PS of power to the car. The length of the vehicle is same as that of its smaller siblings and the taillights are similar to those of the eV2.
Headlights are same as those of Indigo eCS and have the indicators arranged on top of the double barrel headlamps of the vehicle. The expectations are that the Indica XL will be launched in this financial year.
