It will be offered in three variants -  AX, AX Optional and LX, with 4WD as standard

Update (02/10/2020): Mahindra has launched the second-gen Thar with prices beginning from Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Read more about it here.

The Mahindra Thar SUV has finally been revealed. It’s been built from the ground up so everything on it is new, from the platform to the instrument cluster. The Thar will get the choice of a petrol engine as well as automatic transmission options for the first time. It also gets front-facing rear seats and a factory-fitted hardtop this time round, making it a practical four seater SUV for the first time in its life. While the prices for the Thar are scheduled to be announced on October 2, we already have the details of its variants and the features it will be equipped with.

Mahindra will offer the new Thar in three trims. The AX and AX Optional variants are aimed at the adventure buyers while the LX variant is the top-spec model that is better suited as a daily driver in the city. Despite this all the variants come with 4x4 as standard. Let’s see what each variant has to offer:

Thar 2020 is halfcooked in the mahindra Kitchen as it's only 2 doors, fixed windows for 2nd row, no armrest for back occupants, not enough bootspace for luggages etc etc etc.
